Purchase information: When you make a purchase from us, you will typically provide us with your billing and ship to address, payment method. In that case, you may provide our payment processor “Stripe” your payment information such credit card/debit card number, card expiration date, CVV, and billing address. watertds.com does not retain any of your information other than the transaction details. Account Information: You have to create an account, purchase and install a TDS Bot to use watertds.com services. watertds.com provides real time quality of water of your reverse osmosis water filter system, alerts you to changing water quality as set by you. It also provides predictive filter cartridge maintenance alerts. If you choose to create an account, we ask for your name, e-mail address and/or phone number, the type of water filter system you will install the TDS Bot on, the address where the device will be used. We also collect IP address to get the location from where our services are accessed. All of this information is private. The TDS Bot sends the Incoming and outgoing TDS along with Temperature and flow rate data to our servers. It is understood that watertds.com will co-retain rights in perpetuity to the Incoming TDS & Temperature data for aggregating it by locality or zip code to be publicly shared for the community at large.
We utilize your contact information to verify your account, personalize our services, login, and to keep your account safe and to help prevent abuse. Your mobile number may be used for sending you text messages as the law in your country permits. You can use the setting for email and text notifications in your account.
When you use our device and services, we automatically collect or generate certain information about you and your filter system as follows:

The advertiser or the provider of external links or content may determine where your click came from, cookie identifiers or IP address. We use the personal information you give to provide real time water quality of your RO water filter system, alerts about water quality, and predictive filter maintenance alerts. We utilize your e-mail address or mobile phone number to send you transactions such as password reset, order details, and other account related matters. We also send, on your request, personalized alerts selected by you, newsletters, and alerts regarding special offers available only to watertds.com members. As a registered user, you have the ability to opt in or opt out from receiving the alerts or other promotional content from watertds.com at any time.
We will disclose information that we gather only in the aggregate in order to analyze usage and attract advertisers, corporate sponsors or merchant affiliates. By knowing a little about you, we are able to deliver more relevant advertisements and content, and hence better serve you. You can change your account preferences for displaying ads at any time if you are a paying member.
You need your login details prior to deleting your account. You can delete your account in its entirety or any part of it at any time through the account section after you have logged into your account. Please note that once you delete your account, all the data you provided is deleted along with your filter system and associated historical data, profiles of your family and friends. Deleting does not mean that all data is deleted forever. For a period of 3 months data is still present on our server but it is not accessible. In case you deleted the account by mistake you can reinstate the account by emailing us within 3 months. After this period the account is deleted from our server. In case you want to delete the account right away please email us at support@watertds.com.
Data used for orders: While deleting an account deletes the account information like personal data, relevant data of any orders that you may have placed is still retained as per company law for a period of 5 years. This data is required in case there is any question by you or the credit card companies that process payments.
